Aberdare National Park
Day 1 & 2

After all the time you’ve spent planning and dreaming about going on safari, this is where it finally starts. Your guide will meet you and explain everything you need to know and answer any questions you might have. And then we’ll go out on safari together.

Expect high-altitude moorlands, dense forests and spectacular waterfalls when you visit Aberdare National Park with us. Because of the dense vegetation, wildlife numbers are lower here, but the rewards include elephants, waterbucks, bushbucks, buffaloes, hyenas, and, if you’re extremely lucky, black rhinos, black leopards and the much-prized bongo antelope. Mau Mau rebels hid in the forest here during Kenya’s struggle for independence.

Lake Nakuru National Park
Day 3 & 4
You’re in for a real treat when you visit Lake Nakuru National Park. It’s one of the best places anywhere for seeing both black and white rhinos, but there are other highlights as well, including the possibility of seeing lions (some even climb trees here), leopards, flamingos and endangered Rothschild’s giraffes. Rich birdlife, pretty acacia forests, and a towering escarpment overlooking the lake all add to the natural drama.

Day 5 & 6
