Arrival in Nairobi
Day 1
We’re thrilled that you chose to go on safari with us, and now is the moment when all of the planning pays off and your safari dreams begin to come true. You’ll meet our team, we’ll explain what happens next and answer any questions you might have. Then all that’s left to do is go and start this safari trip of a lifetime together.
Nairobi is a wonderfully dynamic city and your gateway to so much that is good about Kenya. It has its very own wildlife attractions, as well as museums and other fascinating windows onto modern and historical Kenyan life. The city is also known for its vibrant shopping, restaurant and nightlife scenes.

Samburu National Reserve
Day 2 & 3
We think you’ll fall in love with Samburu National Reserve at first sight. It’s a fantastic reserve that doesn’t get the crowds you sometimes see in Kenya’s south. The reserve is well-stocked with predators, including lion, leopard, cheetah and hyena, with sightings of elephant, giraffe, hippo and zebra also common. It’s a chance to see some northern animals that are hard to see elsewhere, including Somali ostrich, gerenuk, Grevy’s zebra, beisa oryx and reticulated giraffe. Fabulous scenery and nearly 400 bird species too.

Meru National Park
Day 4
You’re in for one of Kenya’s most underrated safari experiences when you visit Meru National Park, one of Kenya’s best Big Five parks. Few travelers make it out here when compared to other Kenyan parks, but it’s a great place to see rhinos and lions, as well as elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, buffaloes and wildebeests. The wild scenery also includes plenty of baobabs and doum palms, and there are many birds as well, with over 300 recorded species.

Ol Pejeta Conservancy
Day 5
You’ll visit Ol Pejeta Conservancy and it’s a unique safari experience. For a start, it’s one of the best places in Kenya to see the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino), and the conservancy’s black rhino population is the largest in the country. You can also visit the world’s last two surviving northern white rhinos as well as the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary which shelters rescued chimps. Other wildlife possibilities include cheetah, hyena, giraffe and zebra, all of which can be seen roaming Ol Pejeta’s savannah grasslands, river ecosystems and light woodlands.

Lake Naivasha
Day 6
Lake Naivasha is the busiest and highest of Kenya’s Rift Valley lakes. The lake has a fascinating history, as a weekend escape for the wealthy during the colonial era. These days, it serves a similar purpose for a refreshingly diverse cross-section of Kenyan society. There is lots to do along the southern shore, and keep an eye out for hippos, zebras and giraffes.

Masai Mara National Reserve
Day 7
One of our favorite places to look for wildlife in Kenya is the Masai Mara National Reserve. That’s because the wildlife here is incredible, with big cats (lions, leopards and cheetahs) and elephants among the highlights, not to mention black rhinos in the Mara Triangle. There’s a very good chance you’ll also see giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeests, zebras, hippos, hyenas, and, of course, impalas. And bring your binoculars, because more than 500 species of birds have been recorded in the reserve. It’s a place of beautiful savannah landscapes as well, with lots of acacia trees.

Masai Mara National Reserve
Day 8
Going on safari once in the Masai Mara is a privilege, but you get to return to this special place and enjoy it all over again.
